Smarts Starbert ( Smarty) is a 16 year old working quarter horse. He has been my personal lead pony for the past 9 years. I have used him in the training and breaking of Thoroughbred racehorses. He has also been our family horse for my grandchildren. His name suits him well for he is one of the most intelligent and dependable horses I have ever seen in my 43-year training career. His previous owners used him to work cattle on a ranch in Montana. He is sound and healthy. Smarty can be used for ranch work, trail riding or pleasure rides. He can be ridden with any bridle and responds to leg cues and one hand neck reigning. I am only selling him due to the fact I am retiring from my training career.
